Links-Pal free?
Yes, our basic services are free. These include browsing the directory
to find link exchange partners, submitting your website to one category,
and modifying your website’s listing. However, you have to link
back to us from your homepage, or from a page with a Gogle PageRank
of at least FOUR (click <HERE>
for details).

of design reasons), please use the "No link-back option" (see
"Advanced Services").

Do
you offer any paid services?
Yes, we do. If you want a sponsored listing, fast submission/modification
of a listing, inclusion of a listing in more than one category, the "no
link back" option, or help with emailing potential link partners
etc. - please check our “Advanced
Services” section.
Why
is your website so "simple" and "ugly"?
As you can read in the "Knowledge
Base", all the "blows and whistles"
that many webmasters use in order to increase the "wow factor"
of their websites, affect negatively their search engines positioning.
The gospel in search engine optimization is "big, dumb, ugly"
and "nothing-but-text", but content-rich and useful!
Do
you add all the submitted websites to the Links-Pal directory?
No, we don’t! Many submissions are rejected each day because they
don’t meet our quality standards. Links-Pal is a human-edited directory,
and our editors carefully review all submissions. Only high-quality, content-rich
websites are listed.
Can
I "buy" my listing even if I have a "bad" website?
No, you can't!
You can pay some pennies to speed up the review process, but not for inclusion!

Which
are your criteria for adding/rejecting a submission to Links-Pal?
We only accept quality, content-oriented websites that actively swap links.
Link farms, FFA pages, poor-content or under-construction websites are
always rejected. If in doubt, give it a try anyway. What do you have to
loose? Basic submission is free!
How
come that a website can be listed under more than one category?
The rationale behind allowing multiple category listings was that if a
website sells paintings (for example), it would be an interesting link
partner not only for art-related websites, but also for business or shopping
– related websites. Listing in multiple categories is not free,
but it’s worth the pennies, because more link partners will find
your website, and you will get more reciprocal links! See
the “Advanced
Services” section for details.
How
fast will you add my website to Links-Pal?
There’s no guarantee over that. Being a human-compiled directory,
reviewing is not an automated, but a time-consuming process! It depends
on many factors, mainly on how many submissions we received in that particular
period. However, you can use our fast submission service, and your website
will be reviewed in maximum 48 hours (but usually the same day). See the
“Advanced
Services” section for details.
If
my submission is rejected, will you send me an email explaining the reasons?
No, we won’t! We don’t have the resources for that!
If
you won't email me, how can I know if my submission was rejected?
Usually, if in more than three weeks your website is not listed, that
means your submission was rejected.
If
my submission was rejected, should I resubmit?
Yes, but only after you have improved/changed/updated the content of your
website.
Does
Links-Pal accept non-English websites?
Yes, we do, but only in the Regional
category. However, if your website has an English version, feel free to
submit it, as if it was an English-language website.
Does
Links-Pal accept adult websites?
No, we don’t! Unless you run an adult website, links swap with
adult websites will probably harm your ranking and your reputation!
Does
Links-Pal accept websites with illegal content?
No, we don’t! Any submission of a website with illegal content will
be rejected and reported!
Is Links-Pal a FFA page or a link farm?
No, absolutely not! It is a human-edited directory of websites that actively
trade reciprocal links.
Is
Links-Pal search-engine friendly?
Yes, it is! As long as we are not a FFA page, a link farm or an automated
link exchange service, and we do not support link spamming, there is no
reason for search engines to “hate” us.
Can
you guarantee that by using your services, my website will achieve high
search engine rankings?
No, we can’t! And, as a general rule, you should avoid ANY service
that GUARANTEES this kind of things! How can one guarantee something when
he has no control over it? However, according to almost all search engines’
own “disclosures”, link popularity is a key factor in ranking
a website.
