LINKS - PAL :: How it Works...

Links – Pal is a human-compiled directory that lists websites who actively swap links. We do not provide automatic link swap, and human editors carefully review all submissions before listing. Only quality, content-oriented websites are approved.

The purpose of Links – Pal is to help webmasters find link exchange (link swap) partners. Instead of wasting countless hours searching for link trade partners on the whole World Wide Web, any webmaster can browse our directory and quickly find links exchange partners among the listed websites. More than that, by adding a website in the Links – Pal directory, one might expect to be found by many other webmasters who actively look for link swap partners.

In brief, Links – Pal is a powerful and valuable tool for all webmasters seeking to swap link with other fellow webmasters. Best of all, our basic services are free! However, you should keep in mind that we are not a Free-For-All Page, nor a link farm. We do not support link spamming in any way!

We offer two categories of services: basic and advanced.

The BASIC SERVICES are free. These include:

Browsing the directory to find link swap partners
Regular submission of a website in order to be included in the Links – Pal directory
Modification of the listing of a website

However, if you want your website to be listed in our directory, you have to link back to us! You have to add a link to Links – Pal on your website :: BEFORE :: you submit your website for reviewing.

If our reviewers visit you website and the link to Links – Pal is not found where it was supposed to be, your submission will be immediately rejected!

However, if you do not want to link back to our website (reasons of website design, PageRank leak etc.) you can use the “No link-back” option (advanced services - click to check the rates).

You should keep in mind that our spider will periodically check if the link to our website still exists (and works) on your home page! Any site found cheating will be automatically deleted from the directory, and we will announce all the other webmasters that we caught a cheater…

The ADVANCED SERVICES are NOT free, but they worth the pennies!

Fast submission/fast modification of a listing - It might take up to three weeks for a website to be reviewed by our editors. The same applies for listing modifications as well. By choosing the “fast” service, the requested review or modification will happen the same day (maximum 48 hours).
Inclusion in more than one category – Some webmasters might find appropriate to have their websites listed in more than one category, in order to be more “visible” and to be found by more link partners. We encourage that, because many websites can be great link partners for websites included in different categories than their own! For example, a website listed in the “Education” category (for example) can benefit a lot by swapping links with a website listed in the “Family” category.
Sponsored listing – Links – Pal lists websites on a “first-come, first-served” basis. If tens or hundreds of webmasters have already submitted their websites to Links – Pal, and you submit after them, you may see your website listed at the end of a long list. Sponsored listings are always positioned at the beginning of the list, and the “sponsored status” is clearly indicated. This will not only give you a better chance to be found, but it will also give more “importance” to your listing!
No link back option – If (for any reason) you don’t want to link back to us, but still want to be listed in our directory, you can use this option.
Link Swap Email Assistance – if you are a busy webmaster (like most of us) and do not want to waste valuable time with sending link swap requests to other webmasters, we can help!
Highly Recommended Link Exchange Partner – If you run a REALLY high-quality website and actively swap links, you may want to choose this special status. Your website will be displayed in ALL categories, in a special section, above the sponsored and regular listings! This status will give MAXIMUM visibility to your listing. In addition, since you get 30 links from our PageRank FIVE directory pages, your Google PageRank will definetely benefit!

When you submit a website to Links-Pal for the first time, the only advanced service available is Fast Submission. All the other advanced services are available ONLY AFTER your submission was approved!
